I recently instagrammed a photo of the gorgeous Elizabeth and James Clair sandal ( 4 ) and honestly felt I had found the perfect summer shoe. Until, I stumbled across this Reed Krakoff beauty ( 5 ). Obviously my new favorite would be twice the cost (my mother has always told me I have expensive taste). It has dawned on me that a lot of the sandals I am loving this season incorporate coral-red and a shade of tan or cognac; a gorgeous colour combination to flatter a summer tan.

To say that sandal season has arrived in Vancouver may be a bit of a stretch. The weather has been iffy this spring, and it’s been nearly impossible to break out the cute spring and summer outfits in our closets that are all begging to be worn. Now that I have FINALLY gotten rid of the heavy, cumbersome cast that has been covering my left foot for the last two months, I cannot wait to add my lighter, summer shoes into rotation.

Judging by the unintentional lack of colour in the photos above, it would seem my efforts to infuse my wardrobe with colour this summer have not changed my innate attraction to easy neutral pieces.

Here’s hoping for warm, sunny, sandal-wearing weather soon, or I just may just have to wear mine in the rain!
