I’m off to L.A. this morning, this time for business. One of the most essential items in my suitcase, whether the purpose of the trip be work or play is the blazer; pull jeans, a v-neck tee and flats together for the airport, pair with a pencil skirt or trousers for meetings, and the perfect topper over a cute dress in the evening. Classic navy is my favorite, but this fall I look forward to adding rich jewel tones and leather to my collection.

With a girl’s trip to Paris quickly approaching, I find myself daydreaming of strolling and shopping l’avenue des Champs-Elysées & Palais Royale, far too many Ladurée Macarons, excessive amounts of vino (I’m aware that’s Italian, but it just sounds cuter!) and cheesy Eiffel Tower photos. Being the oh-so (type A) girly girl that I am, I’ve also starting contemplating what to wear in Paris, and yes, our flight does not depart for another month. When I stumbled upon this adorable packing list via The English Muse, life was made much easier (or at least packing will be). All the do’s and don’ts of dressing like a true Parisian… Très chic!
