How darling are these light fixtures by Sputnik Estudio? Made of a glass cylindrical structure and four interchangeable wood pieces, the Santorini Lighting System allows the user to mix + match, creating numerous variations and colour combinations. Perfectly pretty for over the desk in your home office, non?

This weekend, I fell in love with New York-based jewelry designer Amanda Assad Mounser’s line after seeing one of her pieces on a girlfriend. Inspired by the rock glamour of the 1970’s, the Assad Mounser aesthetic is at once bohemian and edgy, with the fusion of organic materials such as agate, druze and quartz with vibrant neon cord and heavy metal chain and spikes. I can’t wait to see the f/w 2012 line as it looks like I am going to have to add one of her eye-catching statement necklaces to my wish list for this fall. In love.

One of my favorite aspects of travelling is bringing home something unique to that destination. This doesn’t mean a cheesy souvenir from a tourist shop or the airport, but an item that is truly reflective of the culture and it’s history. When I finally make it to Morocco (high on my travel list), I will be coming home with one of these beautiful blankets native to the region. Hand-woven by the Berbers of the Middle Atlas Mountain region, the Moroccan wedding blanket or handira, is traditionally worn by brides on their wedding day to ward off evil and bestow fertility. Generally made of undyed wool, linen and cotton, silver paillette sequins are applied by hand by relatives of the bride. Where each handira is handmade, each is slightly unique, with varying colours, patterns and accents. The colorful bands of wool found in the blankets are typically kilim weaves, characteristic of the colourful, woven rugs of the region (another item I could do an entire post on). I think a Moroccan wedding blanket would be a perfectly pretty touch for a guest room, no?
P.s. Love this Moroccan wedding blanket-inspired pullover by Rebecca Taylor - perfect for summer evenings on the beach!

Speaking of my love for cobalt, this Reed Krakoff beauty sits at the very top of my “someday” wishlist. Made of authentic python, crocodile and leather, in a rich vibrant blue, the atlantique absolutely screams luxury (and yes, so does the price tag). A girl can dream!

Finding sunglasses that flatter my small face can be difficult but I have a feeling the Lucia’s by Italian label SUPER will do the trick. Characterized by a petite, thin frame and quality Carl Zeiss lenses, these shades have an uber cool retro feel. My pick for the perfect summer specs!
