at home { Josephine Gintzburger }

German-born marketer, Josephine Gintzburger has worked with the Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne for over 20 years, inclusive of a number of prestigious fashion houses such as Armani, Celine, Christian Dior and Louis Vuitton. Josephine has recently taken the plunge into interior design, and this peak inside her gorgeous Parisian apartment certainly does her talent justice.
The 2150 square foot (200m2), Saint Eustache apartment wreaks of Josephine’s design philosophy: to utilize the contrast of her German-French background and create unique and personal spaces. The bare bones of the space - floor to ceiling windows and exposed wooden beams and rafters - provide an architecturally stunning base. The dark floors and furniture in the main living area are pleasantly offset with white walls, and pops of colour by means of statement furniture and art. The damask wallpaper and ornate mirrors of the bathroom and bedroom are reminiscent of the old Paris feel one might expect walking into the home, while the kitchen - perhaps my favorite room in the house - is infused with vibrant pinks and reds, paired in contrast with black gloss and stainless steel.
